Sign up for the 2024 youth hunt today!
Hunter orange must be worn at all times. No alcoholic beverages are permitted before or during hunts or field dog training.
Shot size will be limited to #6 or higher (#7, or #7.5)
We also welcome out of state and international hunters to our place.
We pride ourselves in making your hunting experience one you not forget. Once you are in our fields you will quickly forget you are on a hunting preserve. We believe that the terrain and cover are as important as the birds we put out.
All hunting parties are assigned about 20 acres and there is no co mingling of groups due to safety
Our Quail hunts are like the hunts that used to be years ago with very explosive coveys that fly fast and far. Our pheasants look and act like the wild ones and are a challenge to shoot.
Hunters may wish to try our Combo Hunt, with the Combo Hunt six or more birds per hunter are released from the tower cliff. Hunters have the option of taking the birds as they fly down or waiting until they land for the traditional upland hunt. This is an outstanding hunting method for the youth hunter or the senior hunter wishing to avoid extended walks in the field.
While you wait for the birds to be released you can relax in our rustic cedar cabin clubhouse nestled in a beautiful, mature woodlot. A perfect setting for your spouse or family to relax while hunters are in the field or tower shooting birds, or to rest and prepare a lunch under the trees with the provided grill and picnic table.
The cabin will soon be available for a primitive camping experience. Cots, food prep area and heater will be in the cabin. A fire pit, picnic area and horseshoe pit are also provided. NO electricity, radio or televisions are in the cabin, the beauty and music of nature are provided for your absolute enjoyment.
Great for business meetings while you stand around a bonfire!
Campers will have approximately 80 acres of pristine wilderness for hiking and nature walks. Walk quietly along the creek to the historic covered bridge, examining the flora and fauna of the woodlots and prairie.
Native animals campers might see at any time are white-tailed deer, wild turkey, coyote, rabbit, squirrel, possum, skunk and a myriad of native bird species. A leisurely stroll also allows campers to view the bird pens.
Do to our rolling fields, it gives the illusion of being in 5 different states.
